When we see our role alongside the thinking, researching child as a designer (someone who I believe weaves artistry, craftspersonship, and science together), our environments become studios, laboratories, and playgrounds for innovation, growth, and curiosity. Children become active and engaged participants, co-creators, and change-makers. Learning becomes a dynamic, poetic, and transformative journey. And educators become design partners and provocateurs, empowered to make a difference, advocate, and vigorously challenge unhelpful discourses or outdated narratives.
